Sundy was my grandfather’s nickname given to him by his mother as a child. Throughout his life close friends kept calling him Sundy. He was a writer, journalist and art collector and a man of overall impeccable taste. One of my earliest memories is sitting in his living room on a mid-century wire armchair, surrounded by some of his favourite art works, observing his head slowly disappearing in a big cloud of cigar smoke.
